Beautiful vintage German glass cabochons in a clear dark blue (sold as Montana blue) with a silver foiled back to reflect the light. These cabochons date from the 1950s and were made in West Germany.
They are slightly nibbled at the edges so I have sealed the foil and strengthened the cabs with a layer of black pearlescent resin and then have added the cufflink fitting to produce a solid stone that should last for another 60 years!
They reflect the light beautifully and I have tried to take a photo that shows the dark blue and how the colour lightens once the light catches the stone.
The cab measures approx 15mm x 15mm and is set on a gold plated chain and bar
